Description
Macomb’s patented ice-elevator operates when the “ropes attached, to the
cars are of such length that one car will be so tilted as to dump its load into the chute when the other reaches the floor…” He also suggests that it could be operated not only by horsepower but could be powered by steam or some other power source. (Patent number 202,181)
