Description
DuPont commissioned American fashion designer Oscar de la Renta to design and make this Evening Dress out of Qiana for promotional purposes. This Oriental-style dress with its colorful pattern looks like a kimono. Qiana held colors extremely well, which is very evident in this dress.

Qiana was introduced to the public on June 27, 1968. This dress is part of Hagley's DuPont Fiber "Firsts" collection.
