Description
Madame C.J. Walker (aka Sarah Breedlove) was the first female self-made millionaire in the United States. Beginning in 1906 she marketed hair products for African American women and built an empire through a sales force of Back women who travelled door to door. She is credited with inventing the concept of door-to-door selling with commissions and awards.
