Description
Mrs. Stewart’s bluing was a product to add whiteness to washed clothing. This formula was produced around 1883 by a Mr. Stewart, who named the product “Mrs. Stewart” because he thought it would sell better if he included a woman’s image on the bottle.

When did this label printed ? I still have my mother's bottle of Miss Stewart's Bluing. The label is getting pretty tattered but I can still make out the writing and the picture of the lady in the upper left corner.
