Description
Johnson's patent consists: "First, of an improved construction and arrangement of the burner and vapor-generating chamber. Second, in the arrangement of the valve, for regulating the flow of the hydrocarbon-liquid near the burner and operating it from the outside, by means of a rod extending through the axis of the iron. Third, constructing the inner surface of the smooth-faces of the iron with radial corrugations to facilitate a more uniform heating of the smoothing-surfaces." (Patent Number 81,377)
