Description
Corfam was a poromeric artificial leather material created by the DuPont Company which gave the appearance of patent leather. Primarily identified for the high end shoe industry, it was only sold commercially for seven years from 1964-1970. In 1971 DuPont sold the technology for making Corfam to a company in Poland.
These shoes date to Corfam's early research and development period when DuPont was wear testing shoes. Wear testing was done by employees and other people who agreed to wear the item for a certain amount of time and then give a review of the product.
