Description
Romadka's patent was intended "to provide a means for keeping the lids of trunks or other like articles closed, that travelers may rest assured that their baggage will not be broken open and the articles scattered. It is a catch or lock that will hold the cover firm, and do away with the necessity of straps to hold the trunk together." (Patent Number 145,817)
