Description
Bailey's patent refers "to an improved button, that is applied to the pants without sewing, in reliable manner, for the purpose of securing thereto the suspenders in the convenient, durable, and reliable manner; and the invention consists of a button with recess for attaching a spring-steel hook of the suspenders, the button being secured, by a hook-shaped shank, nicked place, and concave spring-plate, to the waistband of the pants."
