Description
Youngs described his improved patent as follows: "...the end rails, which are provided with recesses, rectangular in form, cut in the lower and inner edges of said end rails, in which the hooks...have their bearings, in such a manner that they will rock on their bearings, and accommodate themselves to the different positions of the fabric when under weight or at rest." (Patent Number 170,040)
