Description
Lyman and Boell's patent "consists of a water-receptacle convenient for holding with the hand, and having attached to one side of it a sponge. A valve provided with a spring opens inwardly, and permits the water contained in the vessel to drop upon the slate when the valve-stem is pressed by the finger, after which the sponge is applied for cleaning..." (Patent Number 159,274)
