Description
Blood, Blood and Pope's patent's objective "is to construct an elastic basket-like couch-body, and so to hang such couch, upon suitable standards or other supports, that is shall be capable of receiving peculiar vertical vibratory, undulating, or tossing movements, resembling the motions of a nurse's arms, and also to admit of being swung laterally, when desired." (Patent Number 80,801)
