Tener's invention is "an improvement in devices for cleaning finger-nails and opening envelopes; and it consists in a blade which, for convenience, may be attached to a watch-key or other similar device, and which is so constructed that it may be used for cleaning the finger-nails, as an eraser, or as an envelope-cutter..."
