Fox's patent "has for its object to furnish an improved clothes-wringer, which shall be simple in construction, convenient in use, and effective in operation; adjusting itself to the varying thickness of the articles passing through it, and being easily adjusted to operate upon larger or smaller articles, as may be desired;..."
