Description
Card and Noble's patent is an improvement to a patent granted to W. L. Card and dated August 27, 1878. The improvement is that "the automatic effect is produced by means of a weighted revolving bar or frame pivoted to a sleeve, which surrounds and is clamped upon the axle, and which has upon it an endwise sliding collar, which is actuated by the revolving bar or frame." (Patent Number 223,317)
