Description
Hibbard's patent "consists in the construction and arrangement of an ironing-board with suitable supports, and connected to a table by the shouldered bar and cam-lever..." Additionally the board (G) on the drawing "is made of a suitable size for slipping over it the sleeves of any kind of garments to be ironed, and it is hinged at one end to the ironing-board in such a manner that it can be raised up out of the way at any time it may be desirable..." (Patent Number 175,459)
