Description
The chief design of Lamb's patent "is to produce a windmill and derrick which shall be simple, durable, and portable." It "consists first, in the method of attaching the vanes; second, in the manner of connecting the shaft of the wind-wheel to the yoke and other parts; and, third, in the manner of constructing the derrick." (Patent Number 276,831)
