Description
Henderson's patent states that "the pendulum-rod passes through the tube, and the speed of the clock may be regulated by varying the adjustment of the pendulum-ball on its rod. The ball may be weighted, if desired, either by pouring lead into the lower section A', and afterward polishing the outer surface of same, or the weight may be case in a mold, and slipped over the hollow tube." (Patent Number 173,285)
