Description
Rooney's patent provides "a dust-pan with a rest or point at the back to hold the pan in position for use; in providing the front edge with a rib or bead to prevent dust from sliding back to the floor, to strengthen the pan and to prevent the curling or warping of the front edge; and in providing the front corners with points or hooks to hold the front edge down to a carpet." (Patent Number 114,351)
