Description
Peirce's patent "relates to the graters used for grating vegetables, crackers, &c.; and consists of a flat sheet-metal plate and a wooden frame or platform, constructed, arranged, and combined together..." The object of this invention is "to afford a more effective and durable grater, and at a less cost than those of equal size made of sheet metal entirely..." (Patent Number 117,924)
