Description
Catlin's patent "relates to an improved inkstand, which is so constructed that, by adjusting an air-vessel, liquid may be fed to a sponge-cup, or ink or mucilage caused to rise in its reservoir..." Also "the ink, mucilage, and the sponge are indispensable to the writing-desk, while the pin-cushion adds greatly to the convenience of the arrangement." (Patent Number 114,262)
