Description
Satterlee's patent is "a certain new and Improved Mode of Attaching Inkstands to Desks, Especially the Desks Used in School-Houses..." It "consists in providing an outer case for the ink stand which shall protect it from injury and dust, and render it immovable by any means usually at the command of children attending school, while at the same time it affords perfect access to the ink, and the utmost facility in cleansing the ink holder." (Patent Number 15,527)
