Description
Nowell's patent is "new and useful Improvement in Jack Spinning Machinery.." He describes the typical operation which have to be assisted with a person who operates the machinery. He said that "All these several operation are produced in my improvements, with unerring certainty and at proper times by mechanical means; every part of the apparatus deriving its motion from one main driving shaft, A A, thereby of course, making great saving of labor and doing the work more perfectly and economically." (Patent Number 6,732)
