Description
Dobrowsky's patent "consists in constructing a shuttle with a pin passing through it longitudinally, having a point at one or both ends. The use of the pin is to enable the tatter to readily form the loops necessary in making sloped, clover-leaf, or other fancy tatting without being subject to the delay and inconvenience of using for that purpose a pin or needle detached from the shuttle, as is the mode in common use."
