Description
Watson's patent secures "greater purity and more effective ventilation than has ever before been attained in porcelain water-closets". The whole "closet, including the necessary flanges and arms for connecting with the floor and soil-pipe, the water-supply pipe, and the pipe for ventilation, is made of porcelain, in one single piece; consequently it is easily kept clean..." (Patent Number 215,495)
