Description
McOmber's patent improves "the construction of artificial limbs, both for amputations below and above the knee. The invention embraces, among other things, an improved elastic connection between that part of the foot which represents the toe and the rest of the foot; also, an improved connection between the foot and the leg at the place of the ankle..." (Patent Number 56,243)
