Description
Hooper's patent "consists in the employment of a cylindrical grater fitting within an opening in a handle or holder, and in which latter the grater is made to reciprocate, the same being used in connection with a spring and plunger that serve to hold the nutmeg against the grater during the operation of grating until the nutmeg is entirely ground or grated." (Patent Number 62,542)
