Description
Read's patent provides "a simple, cheap, and efficient truss pad for holding a hernia or rupture, and effecting a cure for the same, and one not liable to the objections of those in common use; and it consists in making the pad of one-half of a common clam-shell with suitable filling material and devices for holding the same..." (Patent Number 234,333)
