Description
Dupas and Barbarin's patent is an improvement on their apparatus for carbureting air, Patent No. 104,716. The first improvement "consists of a new method of constructing our float, by which we gain a greatly-increased surface of hydro-carbon for the air which is to be carbureted to act on...Another improvement consists in a means for drawing off, as often as necessary, the water which may, from condensation or toher cause, get into the air-supply pipe and obstruct the action of the pump." (Patent Number 113,147)
