Rooney and Newdasher's invention "consists, first, in the combination, with springs rigidly secured at one end, of a slotted cap or head and a mandrel, whereby the springs may be separated to fit tubes of different sizes; second in the combination, with the springs of a tube-expander, of detachable rollers; third, in certain details of construction..."
