Description
The purpose of Duncan's invention "is to combine in one article an open-fire heating-stove and a cook-stove in such a manner that its characteristic functions may be employed separately or together. My invention consists in combining with the grate of an open-front heating-stove a supplemental grate and fire-chamber immediately in the rear of the heating-grate, and in the use of a movable division-plate or grating, which, when in place, will separate the front and rear grate and confine the fuel to one or other of them."
