Description
Crow's invention relates "to certain new and useful improvements in tobacco-prizing machines; and has for its principal object the production of a machine of this class in which the pressing mechanism, after having completed its work on the tobacco in one hogshead or other vessel, can be swung clear of that hogshead and into position over another placed in its path of travel, thereby permitting an empty hogshead to be filled in a position operated on by the pressure mechanism while the contents of a filled hogshead are being pressed."
