Description
The tapered panel design found on this flask was used by numerous nineteenth century manufacturers. Because it was so common, individual makers often added small details to make their products stand out from the rest. This design by Bartram & Company rounded the edges of the panel, creating an almost oval shape. Bartram & Co. was founded in Sheffield, England 1851 by William Bartram and produced a wide variety of flasks before shutting down in 1892.
