Description
This unmarked pistol flask was likely made in England. As flask making became increasingly industrialized during the mid-1800s, some companies stopped labeling their products. It is possible to learn about the makers of these unlabeled flasks by studying their designs and materials. The unique bush design on this flask reveals that it probably has an English origin.

Gunpowder was sold in bulk and gunpowder flasks were used to carry gunpowder when out in the field.
