Description
Feeny’s invention was an improvement on the apparatus used to count the number of people entering or leaving a conveyance or passageway to keep count of the number and amount of fares or tolls taken. Feeny stated “My invention consists in the application of swing doors or stiles in lieu of revolving stiles…” (Patent Number 208,727)
