Description
For medical use, Anderson's patent consisted "in the arrangement of a metallic plate or frame, capable of being applied to any bath-tub, whether insulated or not, and connected with one pole of a battery while the bath-tub is connected with the other pole, to cause the current of electricity to pass upward or downward, as well as sidewise through the body of the patient operated upon..." (Patent number: 128,094)
