Description
D’Haisne assigned his rights to Amedee Antoine Lefebvre, of the same place. His patent incorporated moving and stationary sections of a bedstead, catering to a variety of patient needs. For example, the head-section "is so connected or hinged to the stationary section as to adapt it to be raised from a horizontal to a vertical, or nearly vertical, position to give the desired inclination to the body of the patient." (Patent Number 217,999)
