Description
Harbaugh's patent is for a "'mitrometer', and it is provided with stubs at the fixed points... to facilitate the adjustment of the movable bevels to the varying angles. Slots are cut through the plate on the line of the quadrant, so that the object measured may be seen through them to facilitate the taking of the angles." (Patent Number 211,235)
