Description
Holbrook's patent consists of "a plate for marking plug-tobacco, provided with a series of raised panels of any shape and a series of alternating depressions, the raised panels being provided with sunken letters, marks, or symbols whereby the tobacco-plug is formed with a series of depressions, within which are raised letters, marks, or symbols..." (Patent Number 204,042)
