Jack's patent "has relation to certain new and useful improvements in washing-machines; and it consists of the novel construction..." Her new improvement is "the washing-machine comprising the rotary vessel or barrel, an inner vessel secured in said barrel, having a continuously-corrugated inner surface, the scrubber comprising the corrugated boards having a bearing at their upper and lower ends, the cover having a corrugated lining, the packing-ring, and the fastening device..."
