Description
McKellar lived at Camp Douglas, near Salt Lake City, Utah Territory. His patent provides "an improved vehicle-wheel hub of the class in which the axle-box is provided with a fixed radial flange and the spoke-tenons are confined between such flange and another which forms an integral part of a detachable sleeve that is screwed on or otherwise secured to the axle-box." (Patent Number 222,294)
