Description
Tambling's bed-bottom patent uses slats, a canvas and end rails put together in a specific way so that "by removing the screws, the slats and canvas may readily be taken from the bed and cleansed. It is not necessary to have any other bed fastenings usually such as screws &c. for the canvas binds the bed very firmly together." (Patent number 30,432)
